Aghasiani

To be forthright, there exist realms of the world towards which my perceptions harbor biases, potentially fettered or shaped by stereotypes. Dialogue, communication, and indeed, art itself serve as the mediums to construct bridges between disparate realms. AGHASIANI stands on equal footing with photographers from lands where such a profession is deemed commonplace. His storytelling is formidable and intensely profound, whether wielding a camera, an instant camera, or a mobile phone. His expressions swept me away, leaving me enamored with his narratives, especially his monochromatic tales crisp and sharp and his portrayals of trees on the southern border of Tehran province, vividly recounting tales untold. His mode of recounting is divergent from mine, at times appearing more vehement and impactful. I find myself reconsidering, and I thank him for revealing my boundaries. However, I maintain reservations, especially when he cooks Iranian spaghetti with potato TAHDIG! 🍝 Born in the emblematic city of Tehran, Ahmad Aghasiani captures the quotidian life of his community, enveloped in a city symbolizing a blend of historic mosques, churches, and synagogues against the modern Tehran skyline. His devotion to content and simplicity portrays the silent moments of people in his city, uncovering the essence through silent introspection, revealing the truth in his images. His journeys, his explorations of ancient, forsaken parts of the city, and his visual renditions of places like Yazd, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, present a dedication and love for capturing the essence and diversity of his nation, a poignant reminder of the lives and loves intertwined with the city. AGHASIANI is an exceptional photographer whose work captures the depth and beauty of spaces uniquely. His masterful use of shadows in his photographs creates an intriguing atmosphere that invites the viewer to immerse themselves in the special spaces he captures. The shadows not only add visual depth to his images, but also suggest an underlying narrative, a story that lurks between the light and the dark. It is evident that Aghasiani has an eye for composition and an ability to capture the essence of the places he photographs. His works should be a captivating visual experience, leading us to explore and contemplate those spaces with a new perspective.
