Indoor network
by nikomano
The work presents a hunched, almost withdrawn body, enveloped by a net that functions as a symbolic extension of the skin. The figure does not appear trapped by an external force, but rather inhabits an ambiguous tension between protection and suffocation. The body's gesture suggests resistance, exhaustion, or withdrawal, placing the body in a primal, vulnerable, and animalistic state. Conceptually, the net can be interpreted as memory, connection, or burden: that which both sustains and limits. The body does not actively fight against it, but rather seems to integrate it, suggesting an intimate relationship between identity and conditioning. Technically, the image is constructed from a contrasting monochrome palette, with a strong presence of texture and grain. The lateral lighting models the body's volume and emphasizes the materiality of the net. The tight framing eliminates context, reinforcing an introspective and timeless atmosphere.
