“Suspended: Uncle Trump, Make Up Your Mind”
by Marziye
This acrylic and mixed media painting embodies the profound anxiety and precarious limbo felt by many Iranians today. The central figure, caught in a turbulent field of deep red — symbolizing tension, passion, and looming danger — appears suspended between unstable skies of blue and yellow. With raw brushstrokes and contrasting palettes, we trapped in uncertainty while awaiting external political decisions. The title addresses 'Uncle Trump' with a familiar yet urgent tone common in Iranian discourse, posing the heavy question: What are you going to do? In this suspended state, stress and fragile hope collide, reflecting the emotional reality of a people caught in geopolitical limbo."
