A Queen of Gold

A Queen of Gold

by LeslieSpurlock

Beneath a crown of golden vine, A baroque queen does softly shine. In filigree of gold so fine, A whispered history's design. She stands against a backdrop bold, Of peacock tales and florals old. Her gown, a sea of liquid light, With stars plucked from the velvet night. The room, a canvas of the past, Her regal poise, the artist's cast. The wallpaper, a story told, In purple, green, and shades of gold. Her hand upon her heart does rest, In gilded threads, she's richly dressed. A silent sentinel of time, In her stillness, she's sublime. Each fringe a note in time's grand score, A symphony for those who wore The weight of crowns and love's sweet ache, In every line, their legacy's wake. In her gaze, there lies a tale, Of baroque dreams that never pale. A queen of old, in modern light, Her story told in threads so bright.
