Obsidian

An extremely powerful teacher stone, the Obsidian plunges you into the deepest and darkest areas of your subconscious. Often referred to as a ‘Mirror Stone’, it reflects your innermost thoughts, desires, flaws and weaknesses. The heavier frequencies of this crystal helps to reveal one’s shadow self, and even though the energies can be direct and brutal, it can bring about immense transformation and catharsis. The Obsidian has been used as a scrying stone in spiritual rituals and ceremonies dating back to the earliest recorded civilisations. It was said to give the wielder insights into the invisible realms, allowing communication with etheric forces. An excellent tool for protection, its inherent frequencies give you the capability to shield yourself from negative and harmful energies, from both within and outside. Directly working with your root chakra, the Obsidian can also help you cut toxic emotional and energetic ties, and maintain strong boundaries. It’s great for cleansing familial and ancestral lines, and assists in getting to the root cause of any emotional or physical distress you may be struggling with.
