We Saw It Coming
by Samin
This painting captures the instant before everything changes—the moment when fear becomes shared. The girl and the creature, different in every way, are bound together by what they see beyond the canvas. That unseen being—something neither human nor beast—emerges from the horizon’s glare, and both know it has noticed them. In that instant, they are equals in terror. I painted this to explore how fear can connect even the most unlikely souls.
